Half-yearly year 12 exams are finished! Time to celebrate. Maddy, Keely and I drove down to Callala Bay. We stopped at Kiama, visited Berry and saw many beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Queensland
I flew up to Queensland with my mum and dad last Wednesday, where we received beautiful weather... for the first day.

We went to a lovely restaurant; Rock Salt and this was one of the yummiest meals I have ever had!
We then received 4 days of torrential rain with flood warnings. The rain then stopped on Monday when we were leaving, and the rain headed south down to Sydney. Our flight home was meant for 2pm, we flew around 3:30pm and took a detour to Newcastle airport as Sydney only had one runway running. At Newcastle airport we got off the tar mat and had to walk about 10 minutes in the rain to the airport! We got home around 11pm. What should have been an hour and a half flight took about 9 hours!

American photo diary. Day 25:
Today was our last day of our amazing holiday!
For breakfast we went to Top Pot Doughnuts- I had the best doughnut I had ever had in my life.
The weather was lovely today, so we walked up to the Space Needle and we wanted to go to the EMP Museum about music, but we unfortunately didn't have enough time to really enjoy the museum without rushing. Instead we walked up the steepest hill in Seattle to Kerry Park, with a great view of the city.
We got to Seattle airport at 1:30pm, for a 3:00pm flight. In the airport, we had to catch a train to our terminal. We got to LAX airport around 5:30pm, and got on our flight to Sydney at 10:10pm Saturday night. Got into Sydney at 6:00am Monday morning.

American photo diary. Day 24:
Today was an action packed day, as it was our last full day in America. We woke up and had a big breakfast. We then walked to Pike Place Markets- it was raining. We saw 2 huge walls completely covered in gum. Completely cool, yet revolting. We went to Delicatus- a Seattle Delicatessan for lunch. When the rain stopped and sun came out (luckily), we went on a ferry! It was lovely. After the ferry ride, we went to the tallest building in Seattle, the Columbia Centre. The views were awesome. After this we went to the main shopping area in Seattle.
